OUR COMMITMENT

Better Futures for Everyone

Centennial has always prioritised our people and our culture.

The introduction of a formalised ESG Strategy was the next natural step for our business, which through growth has an increasing impact on the environment and our customers, partners, people and the communities in which we operate.

Centennial’s first ESG strategy will enhance and add to our existing efforts and provide a road map for us to better our environmental, social and governance practices. It will also provide a clearer framework for our stakeholders and industry to recognise the work we are dedicating to this area.

We are committed and excited to be stepping up our ESG journey and improving our performance year on year, as we strive for a better future for all.

Our Sustainability Approach

Centennial’s sustainability framework is derived from an assessment that identifies three material topics from Environment, Social and Governance and sets goals within each.
These goals are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Centennial is committed to being transparent and practical when developing initiatives for each topic under this framework, as we strive for a better future.

Environmental

Energy mangement, water & biodiversity, climate change & carbon emissions.

Social

Tenant & customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction & culture & diversity.

Corporate Governance

Compliance training, cyber security and ESG data & reporting.

ENVIRONMENT

We work in partnership with our customers to deliver meaningful, sustainable integrated logistics solutions.

We are committed to creating sustainable buildings that positively contribute to our cities. These goals will build a sustainability framework across the asset lifecycle, which adds value for our customers and investors alike.

Environmental priorities:

Energy management: develop a solar feasibility plan for 75% of assets and align new builds with NABERS Warehouse & Cold Store 5 Star rating.

Water & biodiversity: develop drought tolerant native landscaping guide and target 60-70% drought tolerant native landscaping across all assets.

Climate change & carbon emissions: certified carbon neutral (excluding managed assets) and develop medium term 2030 emissions targets.

SOCIAL

Centennial recognises that people are our most important asset. We strive to create an environment that allows our people to grow, thrive and be happy. We are committed to authentic and institutional quality service for all our tenants and customers.

Social priorities:

Tenant & customer engagement & satisfaction: undertake customer satisfaction surveys.

Employee satisfaction & culture: conduct team engagement survey and develop a plan to support team engagement and talent development.

Diversity: conduct diversity audit and develop formal plans to ensure we continue to build a diverse and inclusive team.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

We recognise that good governance systems and processes ensure the best outcomes for our business, our people and our customers.

We are committed to our culture of ethical and responsible corporate actions, and fair, responsible remuneration for all. ESG reporting is recognised as an important tool for our management, investors, customers and tenants.

Governance priorities:

Compliance training: conduct training linked to employee performance assessment.

Cyber security: develop a cyber security plan.

ESG data & reporting: develop ESG data collection system and baseline.
